вот они, сюжеты: 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 (ENG, RUS), сплошное раздолье.
не экономическая, то есть, подоплека: спад был очевиден (даже футболист Эшли “Cashley”[1] Коул вовремя догадался) — не экономика, повоторю, но сама жизнь этого организма, его рождение, становление и болезнь, как жизнь отдельных клеток, складывающихся в единное целое, трилогия Моста современности, новый Барочный цикл о неполучившихся Людовиках.

An ambitious new work by Brody Condon, Case is a reading of the classic cyberpunk novel Neuromancer by William Gibson in a rehearsal-like setting. Combining Gibson’s 1980s dystopian techno-fetishism with early twentieth-century abstraction, faux “virtual reality” scenes will unfold via moving Bauhaus-inspired sculptural props accompanied by the Gamelan ensemble Dharma Swara.
The event at the New Museum is the premiere of Case, which will also be performed at a small outdoor community theater in rural Missouri in summer 2010. The New York production of Case will feature many of the ten cast members from the upcoming Midwest event, such as political activist (and notorious local hell-raiser) Ray “Bad Rad” Radtke, who stars as the main character Henry Dorsett Case, a drug addict and computer hacker hired to execute an impossible cyber crime. Case will also feature Brooklyn-based performance artist Sto as Lupus Yonderboy, leader of the techno-anarchist gang the Panther Moderns, and the actress Sasha Grey as the street samurai Molly. The script has been prepared by the writer Brandon Stosuy, with sound design by Peter Segerstrom, and graphic props by Breanne Trammell.

Большой адронный коллайдер наконец-то заработал:
Physicists at the Large Hadron Collider, located underground near the French-Swiss border, say proton beams have collided for the first time in the machine.
The scientists told the BBC the event occurred Monday as two beams were circulated simultaneously around the 16-mile-long ringed tunnel that’s located nearly 330 feet beneath the ground in Switzerland.
When fully operational, the LHC will smash together numerous beams of protons to shed light on what conditions existed in the universe less than a trillionth of a second after the Big Bang.

поэтому лучше о музыке — так, например, 80-ые годы были временем удивительнейшего расцвета. и дело даже не в том, что на эту же плоскость выпало мое половое созревание, а совсем наоборот: до сих пор непрерывно открываю для себя новые записи тех лет и не устаю поражаться тому, насколько современные поделки звучат избито и вторично.

Secretary of State Lord Mandelson is trying to sneak a revision into the Digital Economy Bill that would give him and his successors the power to create future copyright law without debate. Mandelson goes on to explain that he wants this so he can create private copyright militias with investigatory and enforcement powers, and so he can create new copyright punishments as he sees fit (e.g., jail time, three strikes).
